THE Bureau of Customs (BoC) seized nearly 10.5 kilos of high-grade marijuana or “kush” with an estimated value of P17.169 million.
Customs chief Bienvenido Rubio said the contraband, declared as two “one seat sofas,” arrived on August 6.
The mariruana, in 23 self-sealing plastic sachets, was detected through X-ray and a K-9 sniff test.
“Samples were then taken and turned over to Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) for chemical laboratory analysis, which confirmed that the said substances were indeed marijuana,” Rubio added.
