MANILA, Philippines — The House of Representatives yesterday rolled out the Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair (BPSF), the country’s biggest service and convergence caravan, in Batangas with P563 million worth of government services and financial aid to over 60,000 citizens of the province.
Former Batangas congressman and now Finance Secretary Ralph Recto served as the local host of the BPSF event in Lipa City, which featured 50 participating agencies with 209 services.
Of the BPSF’s P563 million worth of programs, P265 million were in the form of cash assistance programs.
The Department of Social Welfare and Development and the Department of Labor and Employment also conducted continuous payouts for 34,000 beneficiaries across the province of Batangas.
The caravan was attended by 143 House members and will last until today.
The BPSF in Batangas was the 22nd installment of the BPSF, which aims to reach all 82 provinces nationwide, bringing with it the advocacy of a “Mabilis, Maayos, Maginhawa at Masayang serbisyo publiko.”
This is the second time the BPSF went to the Calabarzon following its first visit to the region in November 2023 in Laguna.
One year after its launch, more than P10 billion worth of assistance has been provided to 2.5 million families across the 21 BPSFs.
