Vivamax kicks off September with two new sultry Vivamax Originals “Throuple” and “Paluwagan.”

A loving and conflict-free relationship between three people takes center stage in “Throuple,” directed by Aya Topacio and starring Sahara Bernales, Audrey Avila, and Aerol Carmelo.

“The inspiration is still the relationship, because I believe that this kind of relationship does happen and can work when openly discussed. Throuple is about a relationship where all three people know they’re in it together, and they balance it among themselves,” shared Topacio about the film’s inspiration.

However, Topacio also warned those considering a throuple relationship, “First of all, it’s not easy to enter a throuple relationship. You need to be open to understanding, and have a certain capacity for love, or else it’s not going to work. It requires a lot of understanding, and it’s a give-and-take situation, because you’re not just loving one person — you’re in a relationship with three people. There has to be balance for it to work.”

In the film, live-in partners Ysay and Juancho (Bernales and Carmelo) have been together for two years when their mutual friend Hannah (Avila) seeks refuge from her abusive boyfriend. They happily let her stay with them, and soon, both Ysay and Juancho develop feelings for her, which Hannah reciprocates.

The trio enters a full-on relationship, finding happiness in their unconventional setup despite societal judgment. But when a tragic accident disrupts their bliss, their bond is put to the test.

As the trio becomes two, can Ysay and Hannah maintain their relationship? And will a new third party in the form of Dawn (Alonzo) help them heal, or will she introduce more challenges to the mix?

“Throuple” is available for streaming starting today, September 6.

Meanwhile, audiences can expect an unusual offer — not one centered on wealth or material gain, but rather an unforgettable experience.

Directed by cult favorite Roman Perez Jr., “Paluwagan” stars Micaella Raz, Sheina Yu, Victor Relosa, and Chad Solano.

According to Perez, “Paluwagan” plays on dual meanings, “One refers to the traditional cooperative savings practice where participants contribute money and take turns receiving payouts. The other carries a sexual innuendo, with layered metaphors about a land that becomes open and claimed by others.”

The film tells the story of a man, later named Hector (Relosa), who is rescued by an elderly man named Tata Etchor after losing his memory. Hector’s past and real identity remain a mystery.

Marites (Yu), a cunning and outspoken businesswoman, becomes interested in Hector and makes Tata Etchor a proposition for him.Marites plans to use Hector’s charm to lure women into her paluwagan (cooperative savings group), offering them a choice: either a share of money or a night with Hector.

Many women join the scheme, with several choosing to spend the night with Hector. One of them is Julia (Raz), a young woman trapped in an unhappy marriage to her husband Itong (Solano).

After their first encounter, Julia becomes infatuated with Hector, and their secret meetings continue.

How long can Marites manipulate Hector for her business? What is Hector’s true identity? And what will Julia’s husband do when he learns about the affair?

Witness the chaos unfold in “Paluwagan,” streaming exclusively on Vivamax starting September 17.
