The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Friday said it has no information if dismissed Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo made a commitment of divulging more details about her cases.

“I don’t have any information kung may mga na-reveal na ba at hindi pa natin nakakausap personally. I don’t have the personality to even ask Alice Guo kasi may proseso naman po dyan,” PNP spokesperson Police Colonel Jean Fajardo told reporters at a press briefing.

(I don’t have any information if she has made any revelations and I haven’t talked to her personally. I don’t have the personality to even ask Alice Guo because there is a process for that.)

“I don’t have any information to that kung meron nang ganyang commitment kay Alice Guo (if there is already such a commitment from Alice Guo),” she added.

Fajardo said PNP chief Police General Rommel Marbil as well as Interior and Local Government Secretary Benhur Abalos have been encouraging Guo to disclose such information.

According to Fajardo, this information may include those involving the operations of Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator (POGO) facilities in Bamban, Tarlac and Porac, Pampanga.

However, Fajardo noted that there are proper forums for whatever revelations.

“If she intends to reveal or disclose information that will at least give us a more clearer picture kung ano ba yung extent and limitation ng kanyang participation doon sa operation ng illegal POGOs sa Bamban, Tarlac at Porac, Pampanga, then there is a proper forum for that to discuss and reveal all the information na alam niya na makakatulong,” she added.

Fajardo said Guo returned to the PNP custodial center around 2:12 p.m. after Capas, Tarlac Regional Trial Court Branch 109 granted her motion to stay in the detention facility.

Aside from this, Guo’s camp also decided not to post bail for now.

Guo on Friday morning was brought to Capas, Tarlac regional trial court in compliance with the warrant of arrest which was issued against her on Thursday.

The dismissed mayor left Camp Crame at 9:40 a.m. and arrived at the Tarlac court past 11 a.m. She left the court past 12 noon to return to the PNP Custodial Center.

Senate Sergeant-at-Arms Roberto Ancan said the Senate committee on women, children, family relations, and gender equality would need to request the court to allow Guo’s presence when it continues its investigation into the former mayor’s alleged involvement in POGO operations in Bamban, Tarlac on Monday.

Senator Risa Hontiveros, chairperson of the Senate panel, already wrote to Capas, Tarlac RTC Branch 109 Presiding Judge Sarah Vedaña-Delos Santos requesting the court to allow Guo to appear at the continuation of the Senate investigation.

Hontiveros earlier insisted that the Senate should take custody of Guo, noting that her arrest was made possible because of the arrest order that was issued by the upper chamber in July.

She pointed out that the arrest order from the Senate was issued way before the warrant of arrest from the Tarlac court.

Guo was arrested by Indonesian authorities in Tangerang City early Wednesday morning. She arrived in the Philippines early Friday morning. — RSJ, GMA Integrated News
