Law firm A&O Shearman said it advised the underwriters in connection with the Philippines $2.5-billion global bonds.

These include the Securities and Exchange Commission-registered offering of 4.375 percent US dollar-denominated global bonds due 2030, 4.750 percent bonds due 2035 and 5.175 percent bonds due 2049.

The offering highlights the Philippines strategic engagement with global capital markets, demonstrating its commitment to fiscal resilience and economic growth.

The capital markets team comprised partner Felipe Duque, counsel Giancarlo Sambalido, senior associate Julie Song and associate Sean Cao. Partner Jack Heinberg and senior counsel John Hibbard advised on US tax.
