“Baste” succeeded Padilla, who was the previous executive vice president before his promotion as PDP president.
“Welcome to the PDP, Mayor Sebastian Duterte!” de la Rosa said on Facebook.
His appointment came amid discussions that three members of the Duterte political family will run for the Senate in the midterm elections next year.
