The reported death toll due to Severe Tropical Storm Enteng and the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) rose to 20, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said Saturday.
According to the NDRRMC’s latest situational report, 11 fatalities were recorded in Calabarzon, four in the Bicol Region, two in Central Visayas, two in Eastern Visayas, and one in Western Visayas.
The reported deaths were still up for validation.
The NDRRMC added that 18 people were injured, two of these have been confirmed, and 26 people are still missing.
A total of 2,394,169 individuals or 675,428 families were affected by Enteng and the Habagat in Ilocos Region, Cagayan Region, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Bicol, Western Visayas, Central Visayas, Eastern Visayas, Cordillera, and Metro Manila.
Most of those affected were in the Bicol region at 1,164,155.
Meanwhile, damage to agriculture reached P657,981,684, while infrastructure damage was valued at P675,256,168.
A total of 6,587 houses were partially damaged, and 459 were totally damaged.
