MANILA, Philippines— Hydrologists said on Monday that they have opened one gate each at Ambuklao and Binga dams in Benguet province to release water in anticipation of more rain.
Hydrologist Paulo Pamintuan of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) told The Manila Times via Viber that the two dams are near their spilling level.
