Leon Gallery and DF Art Agency proudly presented “Appassionata III,” an exhibition featuring the works of Marivic Rufino, Susan Fetalvero Roces, Lenore RS Lim, Imelda Cajipe Endaya, and the late Rosario Bitanga. The show is a tribute to Bitanga, a trailblazer in Philippine abstraction, ensuring her legacy continues through her final works.

The exhibition takes its name from the Italian word “Appassionata,” meaning deeply emotional and passionate — qualities that define both the artists and their work. As art critic Cid Reyes explains, “Appassionata captures the essence of someone who, besides being a woman, also happens to be an artist.”

Each piece in the show reflects the personal and emotional journey of its creator, blending technique with profound self-expression. Bitanga’s graceful final works sit alongside Cajipe Endaya’s socially conscious art, Lim’s printmaking mastery, Rufino’s serene watercolors, and Roces’ environmentally driven pieces. Together, they represent the powerful intersection of passion, identity, and artistry.
