SAN JUAN CITY Mayor Francis Zamora was named deputy secretary general of the ruling Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) headed by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. at the Manila Diamond Hotel on Monday.
“Very much proud to announce that [on Monday], we were elected as deputy secretary general of the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas. Thank you very much to PFP chairman, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., for the trust and confidence,” Zamora said on Tuesday.
Zamora added he looks forward to working with Marcos, as well as the party’s regional leaders, including the President’s son, Ilocos Norte 1st District Rep. Sandro Marcos, Marinduque Gov. Presbitero Velasco and Pasay City Mayor Imelda Calixto-Rubiano.
Early this year, the PFP allied with the Nacionalista Party and the Nationalist People’s Coalition in preparation for the 2025 midterm polls.
“I’m very glad that we can see that there is progress that is happening as we move on in preparation for … well, filing [of candidacy] is our next big event. And, we have now within the PFP organized ourselves properly,” the President said.
