The eighth season of Coke Studio Philippines is here and this time, it’s a celebration of the fans.
Season 8 shines the spotlight on music stans across the country, bringing them closer to their faves through epic collaborations. Get hyped as multilingual P-Pop powerhouse Alamat, hiphop hitmaker Nik Makino, versatile Gen Z heartthrob Kyle Echarri, and rising rebel-rapper Illest Morena join forces to create fresh new tracks and music videos.
Coca-Cola Philippines teamed up with several industry giants to curate, produce, and manage the Coke Studio Philippines Season 8 roster of artists, ensuring a top-tier musical experience.
“We’re incredibly excited about this season,” says Mark Dee, Senior Director of Frontline Marketing for East Cluster, Coca-Cola Asean and South Pacific. “These artists were carefully selected not only for their exceptional talent and connection with their fans, but also because they genuinely embody our brand’s values of authenticity, inclusivity, and optimism. Their music speaks to our audience, and their personal journeys inspire and uplift.”
Dee further emphasized that beyond their undeniable popularity, it is the artists’ ability to cultivate a sense of community through their music that truly sets them apart.
“These artists have a profound impact on their fans, fostering a sense of belonging and connection that goes beyond the music itself. We believe this shared passion for music and community is the very heart of Coke Studio,” he added.
The eighth season promises a treasure trove for fans, featuring new music, creative filters using the iconic look of Coke Studio, behind-the-scenes interviews, and artist-led content, intimate live performances at regional festivals, limited-edition merchandise, and concert tickets.
Additionally, Coke Studio Philippines is serving up unique vertical and short-form content delivered via Gen Z-relevant platforms such as Facebook, Instagram reels, TikTok, and even YouTube shorts — a fresh take on the usual video formats of previous years.
The choice of content delivery is deliberate, making sure Coke Studio songs and content are right at the tips of this generation’s fingers and mobile phones.
Fans had an early glimpse of this bespoke, experience-driven collab as the season kicked off with a bang at the recent Coke Studio: The Ultimate Fandom Concert on September 5th at the SM Mall of Asia Arena, headlined by K-Pop sensation NewJeans and Filipino pride Zack Tabudlo.
Artists were given complete creative freedom when writing their songs for this season, ensuring that the music truly resonates with their dedicated fanbases.
“We are collaborating with these artists to build a bridge between Coca-Cola and the amazing communities that they’ve nurtured and built,” said Teejae Sonza, Senior Marketing Director of Coca-Cola Trademark, Asean and South Pacific. “We recognize that the most genuine way to do that is by empowering them to create music that feels authentic to them, rather than imposing a pre-determined narrative or jingle.”
Sonza revealed that all Coke Studio programs globally and across the Asean and South Pacific region are adopting a dynamic and continuous “flywheel” approach, recognizing the evolving landscape of festivals and live events.
“Live performances are the heart of the experience,” she explained, “but we’re also creating a rich and engaging digital ecosystem that includes recorded music, creative content, and much more.”
