MANILA, Philippines — Seven American pedophiles tried to enter the Philippines between Aug. 22 and Sept. 10, the Bureau of Immigration (BI) reported yesterday.
Dustin Patrick Auvil, 57; Daniel Russell Eoff, 34; Michael Allen Turner, 41; Matthew Thorin Wall, 46; Todd Lawrence Burchett, 41, and William Emil Wanket, 40, were convicted for sexually assaulting minors.
Francisco Javier Alvarado, 39, was convicted in 2017 for possession of child sexual abuse material.
Turner arrived at the Mactan Cebu International Airport from Hong Kong on Aug. 24. The others were intercepted at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport.
The sex offenders were denied entry, blacklisted and banned from reentering the country, the BI said.
“They were deported back to their ports of origin,” BI officer-in-charge Joel Anthony Viado said.
