Fans around the world are celebrating Batman Day 2024 today, Sept. 21, to honor one of the most enduring characters in popular culture.
Since his debut in 1939’s Detective Comics #27, Batman has inspired generations with his determination, intelligence, and technical prowess, distinguishing him as a hero without superpowers.
To mark this occasion, DC and Warner Bros. Discovery have organized a range of content and activities designed to engage fans. Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products in Southeast Asia, Taiwan, and Hong Kong has collaborated with various licensees to commemorate Batman’s 85th anniversary. Products such as figurines, apparel, and food and beverage items will be available.
In the Philippines, fans can visit a Batman-themed activation at SM City Santa Rosa, which runs until Sept. 30.
A limited-edition Batman figurine and credit card wallets will be available through Royal Selangor, featuring intricate designs of Batman and The Joker. These items can be found at Royal Selangor outlets worldwide and in its online store.
Additional brand collaborations across the region include partnerships with companies like Petrol and Comic Central in the Philippines, 425 Degree and Pena House in Thailand, and various brands in Malaysia, Indonesia, Taiwan, and Hong Kong.
Fans can also revisit popular Batman movies and series on Batman Day, including Zack Snyder’s Justice League, Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy, The Batman, Suicide Squad ISEKAI, and Batwheels, all available for streaming on HBO GO.
