(UPDATES) THE new management of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) said there would be no terminal assignment changes at the country’s prime airport for the time being.
“The New NAIA Infra Corp. (NNIC) reiterates to the public that no immediate changes to terminal assignments will occur. The status quo remains in place as operations continue smoothly under the new management,” the NNIC said in a statement.
NNIC general manager Angelito Alvarez said any upcoming terminal reassignments would be implemented in a slow and strategic manner to minimize disruptions, as the NAIA undergoes modernization.
“These adjustments will be aligned with ongoing infrastructural and technical upgrades at the airport, ensuring a seamless experience for passengers,” he said.
The NNIC has allocated P144 billion to modernize the country’s premier airport.
On September 14, it announced that airlines and flights would be reassigned to different terminals.
