Global girl group KATSEYE finally debuted in the Philippines with their Touchdown in Manila fan showcase last Sept. 18. Their performance at Market! Market! in Taguig was met with a large crowd of fans who were eager to give them a warm welcome.
Following their impeccable performance, the group took to their Instagram account to express their gratitude to the packed audience that came to see their show.
“Manila, thank you for showing us so much love! Our hearts are so full. Thank you for making our first time in the Philippines an unforgettable experience. Mahal namin kayo!” the group said in their post’s caption.
Prior to their show at Market! Market!, the group also graced the noon-time show It’s Showtime where they were also greeted with wide smiles and loud cheers as fans sang along to their hit song “Touch.”
KATSEYE is composed of Sophia, Manon, Daniela, Lara, Megan, and Yoonchae. The girls hail from different countries with Sophia coming from the Philippines, Daniela, Lara, and Megan from the US, Manon from Switzerland, and Yoonchae from South Korea.
The girl group was formed through Hybe and Geffen Records’ reality show Dream Academy. Since their debut this year with the single “Debut” and their EP “SIS (Soft Is Strong),” the group has been steadily catching the eye of fans all over the world.
The girl group is currently on its Asia tour, with their time in the Philippines from Sept 17 to 19 marking its second stop after Seoul. The group is now in Japan where they have been staying since Sept. 20 until Sept. 23.
