NLEX outlasted Barangay Ginebra in overtime, 103-99, to book the final quarterfinals slot from Group B in the PBA Governors’ Cup on Sunday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Barangay Ginebra was within two, 98-96, with 2:42 remaining in the extra period, but DeQuan Jones connected for a triple to widen NLEX’s margin. Richie Rodger then sealed the victory for NLEX.

Justin Brownlee forced overtime with a jumper at the 00:32 mark of the fourth quarter.

Jones waxed hot with four four-pointers en route to a 44-point explosion, while Robert Bolick and Anthony Semerad had 16 and 12 points, respectively as the Road Warriors finished the preliminaries at 5-5.

Brownlee had 26 points, 12 rebounds, four assists, two steals, and two blocks, while Japeth Aguilar had 22 points, nine rebounds, two blocks, and an assist as Barangay Ginebra closed the prelims at 6-4.

Earlier, TNT defeated NorthPort, 99-79.

TNT finished the prelims on top of Group A with an 8-2 record while NorthPort finished with 3-7.
