MANILA, Philippines — Actress Ria Atayde could not help but gush at her husband, actor Zanjoe Marudo, as they welcomed their first child together.
Atayde posted a photo of Marudo carrying their child on her Instagram stories on Wednesday.
“Fave role of yours to date,” she captioned.
Marudo shared the same post on his own account.
The couple has not yet shared further details about their firstborn but Sylvia Sanchez, Atayde’s mom, posted on her Instagram a short clip confirming the birth of her first grandchild.
“09-23-24 lola na ako!!! Yahoooo!!!” Sanchez wrote.
In February this year, the couple — who had been dating for about two years at that time — announced their engagement. The following month, on March 23, Atayde’s birthday, they tied the knot in a simple, civil ceremony held at the Quezon City Hall.
On Father’s Day, they revealed that they were expecting a child.
The couple did not disclose the gender of their child but a post by actress Liza Diño-Seguerra from a baby shower held in July, revealed that the showbiz couple was expecting a baby boy.
