If there is one act dominating the Philippine entertainment scene in 2024, it’s P-Pop sensation Bini.
The girl group — composed of members Aiah, Colet, Maloi, Gwen, Stacey, Mikha, Jhoanna, and Sheena — made a significant impact with numerous endorsements, appearances on international shows, and, most notably, their multiple songs climbing the top music charts and platforms.
But, like any success story, their rise to fame hasn’t been easy.
Now, fans, known as Blooms, and even those curious about the group can explore their journey to stardom with the release of the first chapter of their highly anticipated docuseries, “Born to Win.”

Co-produced alongside ABS-CBN News and Star Magic, this iWantTFC Original Docuseries is a three-part feature that takes viewers to their humble beginnings as trainees undergoing hardships to becoming the next sought-after girl group.
Despite the challenges, the girls exhibited resiliency and camaraderie, eventually finding booming success as today’s Nation’s Girl Group behind the hits “Born to Win,” “Na Na Na,” “Lagi Lagi,” “Pantropiko,” and more. Also presented are never-before-seen footage during their preparations for their first major concert “BINIverse.”
Jeff Canoy, ABS-CBN Chief of Reporters and co-creator of “Chapter 1: Born to Win,” wrote on X (formerly Twitter), “Chapter 1: Born To Win is an origin story. For the casuals, an intro. For Blooms and OGs, a gift.”
“This documentary is a product of love and care from and for #Bini. Chapter 2: Here With You. Coming soon,” he added.
Three days ahead of its official premiere on iWantTFC on September 26, a special advance screening was held at Gateway Mall 2 Cineplex, with three scheduled showings.
The event was well-attended by 888 exclusive members of BINI’s official website, who were delighted by a surprise appearance from four of the group’s members — Mikha, Colet, Maloi and Jhoanna.

Also present are their family, friends and ABS-CBN executives including ABS-CBN Chairman Mark Lopez, Head of TV Production and Star Magic head Laurenti Dyogi, Head of Digital Jamie Lopez, Head of Music Roxy Liquigan, and News head Francis Toral.
“It feels surreal and overwhelming, of course, that we’re going to have our own documentary. But for us, it’s like a validation of everything we’ve worked for, and we’re just incredibly grateful to the management for making this happen because we’re now sharing our journey with the world,” Bini leader Jhoanna shared.
Maloi added, “I’m just so happy that we get to share our hard work, which is something not usually seen in front of the camera. This is one of the ways we can show what we do off-camera, so I’m really grateful, and I hope people will like it.”
At the end of the screening, the four members were visibly moved by the documentary and broke into tears, expressing their heartfelt gratitude to the audience for their overwhelming support — not just for the docuseries, but also for their unwavering love throughout the group’s journey.
