Vitamin C has been one of the most Googled skincare ingredients in recent years. And with over 6 billion views on TikTok for #VitaminC, it looks like the popularity of this glow-getting ingredient isn’t going anywhere.

It’s no surprise that the recently renovated Vitamin C range from The Body Shop has become of one the brand’s top-selling skincare lines.

This year, The Body Shop has introduced its newly revamped Vitamin C range, which has gained popularity due to its effectiveness in skincare. The Vitamin C Glow Boosting Intense Moisturiser, a new addition to the line, features an enhanced moisturizing formula designed for those with drier skin types.

The new moisturiser retains the refreshing citrus scent of its predecessor while boasting a richer, whipped cream texture.

According to initial findings, users reported that their skin appeared more radiant and felt replenished with moisture for up to 48 hours, which is double the duration provided by the previous Glow Boosting Moisturiser.

The Vitamin C Glow Boosting Intense Moisturiser is formulated to complement The Body Shop’s Glow Revealing Serum, which contains 10 percent vitamin C and is recognized as one of the brand’s top-selling products. This new moisturiser aims to reduce dark spots and enhance skin luminosity, resulting in a more even tone and texture. The formula includes natural-origin vitamin C sourced from corn and sugar cane, along with bakuchiol and olive-derived squalane.

Vitamin C earned its popularity among skincare enthusiasts because of its benefits for the skin

Olive-derived squalane is noted for its hydrating properties and is considered a sustainable alternative to traditional squalane, which is often derived from shark liver oil.

Bruno Oliveira,  a Global Research and Innovation Expert at The Body Shop, emphasized the brand’s commitment to quality and user experience. He stated that significant effort went into perfecting the new formula and highlighted the positive feedback from user trials.

The Body Shop conducted clinical studies showing that when the new Intense Moisturiser is used alongside the Vitamin C Serum for four weeks, a majority of participants reported improvements in skin luminosity, evenness of tone, and hydration.

The revamped Vitamin C collection is available at The Body Shop stores and online.

The brand, founded in 1976 by Dame Anita Roddick in England, has a history of promoting corporate activism and aims to combine beauty with social responsibility through its core values, including the commitment to animal rights, fair trade, and environmental protection.
