MANILA, Philippines — Mikha, Colet, Maloi and Jhoanna of the P-pop girl group BINI got emotional after watching their docuseries, “Chapter 1: Born to Win.” They hugged and comforted each other after seeing the film during the advance screening at Gateway Cineplex.

Aiah, Gwen, Stacey and Sheena were not present but the four members who attended the event expressed their gratitude to those who came to watch the docuseries and supported them.

“Thank you for coming, BLOOMs (their fandom’s name), to our families and (ABS-CBN) bosses who took the time to be with us tonight,” said Jhoanna.

“Thank you for coming,” added Maloi. “Of course, we’re very excited to watch it today. Magsama-sama po tayong umiyak, tumawa, magalit? Pwede magtampo and everything talaga.”

“Hi, BLOOMs, thank you for coming. I hope we’ll enjoy this,” stated Colet.

“Enjoy the show and thank you so much for being here,” shared Mikha.

The “Born to Win” is the first of the three-part docuseries that chronicles the group’s journey to prominence, the struggles they had behind the scenes, and their preparations for their first major concert “BINIverse.” It serves as an introduction to the BLOOMs’ “One True 8” in Aiah, Colet, Maloi, Gwen, Stacey, Mikha, Jhoanna and Sheena. The “Chapter 2: Here With You” will be released soon.

The “BINIverse” kicked off last June at the New Frontier Theater. The girls are now gearing up for the three-day concert called “Grand BINIverse” on Nov. 16 to 18 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

In “Chapter 1: Born to Win,” the BINI members recalled how their dreams to be performers began when they were young and how they were able to achieve them by joining various talent search auditions. It also featured the challenges they faced during their auditions and the rigorous trainings they endured to become the “Nation’s Girl Group.”

It also highlighted the sisterhood that developed among them when they lived together for years amid the pandemic and the non-renewal of the ABS-CBN franchise.

During their early days as a group, BINI experimented with different sounds, including their pre-debut single Da Coconut Nut, until they found their footing in bubblegum pop and went on to churn out hits with the likes of Pantropiko, Salamin, Salamin, among others.

“BINI Chapter 1: Born to Win,” is now streaming for free and on-demand on iWantTFC. It is co-produced alongside ABS-CBN News and the Kapamilya talent management arm Star Magic. In the Philippines, users need to register an account on iWantTFC.com to watch the series. Registration and viewing are free.

The forthcoming installments of the docuseries will also stream soon on iWantTFC.
