The Army Artillery Regiment joined forces with various stakeholders earlier this week to promote environmental sustainability and contribute to the nation’s food security with a tree planting activity.

Chief of Regiment Staff Colonel Archie Ares led to formalize the advocacy and a total of 800 assorted fruit-bearing trees were successfully planted at the AAR Expansion Area in Brgy. Sagana, Laur, Nueva Ecija.

Participants from the College for Research and Technology (CRT), Cabanatuan City Metro Lions Club, 301st CDC, RCDG, RESCOM, PA, and the 1st Nueva Ecija Field Artillery Ready Reserve Battery came together to support this initiative.

The event was spearheaded by Lieutenant Colonel Reynato Arimbuyutan, the current Focal Person of Multi-Sector Community Partners (MSCP) of the Command.

This tree planting activity aligns with the Philippine Army’s ambitious “Raising of One Million Fruit-Bearing Trees” campaign.

By 2028, the Army aims to plant one million fruit-bearing trees within military reservation areas.

As a token of recognition, the Regiment presented certificates of appreciation to the stakeholders for their partnership in this activity.
