A strong earthquake measured at magnitude-5.0 struck the town of Caraga in Davao Oriental at 4:20 AM on Tuesday, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).
Based on its latest information bulletin, Phivolcs traced the epicenter of the quake at 22 kilometers north 84 degrees west of the town at a depth of 10 kms.
The tremor was felt at Intensity 3 in Nabunturan, Davao de Oro.
Phivolcs said aftershocks are expected from this seismic activity but damage is unlikely.
