AT the end of the filing of certificate of candidacy (COC) and certificate of nomination and acceptance (CONA) on Tuesday, the Commission on Elections (Comelec) said that 184 bets will fight for 12 Senate seats and 190 party-list groups will slug it out for the 63 party-list seats.
The number of aspirants for the Senate is higher than the 176 recorded in 2022 and 153 in 2019 while the 190 is lower than the 270 groups reported in 2022.
