MANILA, Philippines — Broadband provider Converge ICT Solutions Inc. has brought in a new product rolling internet service and Netflix subscription into one, in line with efforts to diversify its network offering.
Converge yesterday announced it has entered into a partnership with Netflix to launch a new service called Converge Netflix Bundle, combining broadband and streaming into one.
The service comes with a boosted internet plan of 325 Mbps and a Netflix subscription locked in for 36 months, with a price tag of P1,798 monthly.
Likewise, Converge Netflix Bundle provides subscribers with the latest WiFi modem to ensure that the hardware has the capacity to produce the promised speed. It also assigns customers with a Converge Xperience Box that supports the streaming of high-definition videos.
Converge offers the package to existing subscribers for an exclusive add-on starting at P298 per month. Customers may also avail themselves of more premium bundles to support streaming for multiple devices at the same time.
The Converge Netflix Bundle serves as another innovation developed by Converge to attract new subscribers to its fold.
Converge has the capacity to offer high-quality streaming on its network, having emerged as the fastest internet provider in the Philippines for two years straight, from 2023 to 2024.
Based on an analysis by Ookla, Converge turned in the highest speed score of 147.77, beating its rivals PLDT Inc.’s 131.37 and Globe Telecom Inc.’s 92.11
As of June, Converge has recorded a top download speed of 603.46 Mbps and peak upload speed of 552.21. The operator also posted the lowest latency of four milliseconds, quicker than PLDT’s six ms and Globe’s eight ms.
Moreover, Converge CEO and co-founder Dennis Anthony Uy has no plans of slowing down the growth of his company. Uy said Converge would keep on expanding its infrastructure network to accommodate the future demand for connectivity services.
