During the hearing on Friday, Presiding Justice Amparo Cabotaje-Tang said the prosecution has until October 18 to comment on Mabilog’s motion, after which, the division will decide on the matter before the arraignment.

Mabilog did not answer any query from reporters after the hearing.

The case filed against Mabilog at the Sandiganbayan was due to an alleged anomalous towing service agreement signed when he was still mayor in 2015, which was filed at the Office of the Ombudsman in 2018.

The Ombudsman ruled that there was probable cause to and ordered his perpetual disqualification from public office.
