TOYOTA Motor Philippines Corp. (TMP) will provide a fleet of 25 Toyota Camry hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs) and two Toyota Coaster buses to support the transportation needs of the participants of the 2024 Asia-Pacific Ministerial Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction (APMCDRR).
The conference, taking place from October 14 to 18 at the Philippine International Convention Center in Pasay City, will gather around 3,000 global leaders and delegates to address critical disaster risk reduction strategies in the Asia-Pacific region.
The APMCDRR, organized by the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction, in collaboration with the host country, is the primary regional platform for promoting coordination and cooperation on disaster risk reduction in the Asia-Pacific region.
TMP inked its partnership as one of the conference’s official mobility partners with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, co-chairman of the APMCDRR’s Philippine interagency committee, during the APMCDRR Partners Briefing and Memorandum of Agreement Signing event in Makati City.
TMP President Masando Hashimoto said that their organization “believes that electrified mobility is one of the pathways toward a sustainable future for all. We are committed to help address climate change and promote climate-related risk reduction.”
