Global Dominion, a leading non-bank financing company in the Philippines, has announced the launch of the Global Dominion Awards 2025, aimed at recognizing outstanding small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
The initiative follows the company’s success in recent years, during which it has been named “Best Non-Bank Financing Company in the Philippines” and “Best Business Financing Company.”
SMEs, which represent a significant portion of the country’s workforce and economic drivers, are the focus of the awards.
“SMEs have been providing jobs and fueling the economy. Their courage to take on risks and challenges for their families, employees, and communities is admirable. Recognizing their efforts is one way Global Dominion can give back,” said Patricia Poco-Palacios, the company’s president and managing director.
In the first half of 2024, more than half of Global Dominion’s customers were SMEs. These businesses have utilized various financing products, such as vehicle mortgage loans and real estate mortgage loans, which have seen increased demand.
Global Dominion CEO Robert Jordan Jr. emphasized the company’s mission to support SME growth. “Our mission has always been to contribute to the growth of SMEs and the economy. The Global Dominion Awards 2025 will honor SMEs in categories such as innovation, rapid growth, and community care, highlighting businesses that prioritize social responsibility, environmental sustainability, and employee well-being. Chairman Ruben Lugtu II encouraged public participation, stating, “We encourage everyone to nominate SMEs that demonstrate excellence in growth, innovation, and care for both people and the planet.”
