Vivamax officially rebranded as VMX on October 10 as it reached a significant milestone of 12 million subscribers. Known for its bold and unique content, VMX’s officials, led by Vincent del Rosario, proudly announced that the proudly Filipino streaming site continues to captivate audiences by releasing fresh films every week and staying true to its promise of must-see entertainment.

A new logo was, of course, unveiled with the rebranding, with VMX and the new look representing the on-demand entertainment platform’s identity while keeping its recognizable brand essence intact.

The rebrand, moreover, aligns with VMX’s expansion from streaming to theatrical releases as seen last August, when the platform premiered Roman Perez Jr.’s “Unang Tikim,” starring Robb Guinto, Matt Francisco, and Angeli Khang on the big screen. The film will be available for streaming this November.

“Celestina: Burlesk Dancer,” directed by McArthur Alejandre leads the pack. Set in the 1940s, the film follows a woman who becomes a burlesque dancer to support her son after leaving her unreliable husband.

This October, the platform launches “Salsa ni L,” “Tahong,” and “Tatsulok,” with more films such as “Undergrads,” “Halinghing,” “Krista,” and “Donselya” set to premiere before the month ends.

VMX also promises an exciting lineup in November and December, featuring “Baligtaran,” “Kabitan,” “Forbidden Desire,” and “Stepmother Story,” among others.

Meanwhile, VMX continues to expand its global reach, aiming to attract a wider audience beyond the Filipino diaspora. Films like “Adan” and “The Housemaid” are set for release in Japan, with options for Japanese subtitles or dubbed versions.

Held at the Viva Cafe, the rebranding also celebrated several VMX stars who crossed over to mainstream television. They are Angeli Khang and Salome Salvi, who appeared in GMA Network’s “Black Rider,” Quinn Carrillo of the primetime series “Asawa Ng Asawa Ko,” Christine Bermas who co-hosts TV5’s “Wil To Win,” and Azi Acosta, who stars in “Carlo J. Caparas’ Lumuhod Ka sa Lupa” on TV5.

Finally, the event also saw the launch of: a talent search, seeking single women aged 18 to 21 to take on mature roles in future productions; the VMX Film Festival, which will feature films created by first-time VMX directors with the goal of reaching diverse audiences through fresh and engaging stories; and “Project X: the VMX Fashion Show,” which was held over the weekend, showcasing 14 VMX artists, combining fashion with entertainment; and the launch the VMX Club, a new platform offering exclusive content, live streams, limited-edition merchandise, and invite-only events featuring VMX stars.

With its motto “nowhere to go but up,” VMX aims to keep pushing forward, catering to diverse audiences and evolving alongside the entertainment landscape. As the platform next targets 14 million subscribers, VMX promises to continue delivering bold, provocative, and engaging content for its growing fanbase.
