The Technical Working Group for the IRR is chaired by DMW Assistant Secretary Jerome Pampolina, with Malaluan as vice chairman. This collaboration between DMW and Marina demonstrates their joint leadership in steering the development of the Implementing Rules and Regulations.
The meeting established a calendar of activities for drafting the IRR, outlining clear timelines and milestones to ensure a timely and efficient process. Additionally, guidelines were agreed upon, and the responsible government agencies were identified to contribute to the IRR’s development.
Through this collaboration, Marina, DMW and other key partners aim to create a well-defined set of rules that will guide the implementation of the Magna Carta, ultimately benefiting the country’s seafaring community.
