Manulife Philippines and Manulife China Bank Life Assurance Corporation (MCBL) landed another recognition for their exemplary performance in corporate governance, winning two Golden Arrow Awards at the Institute of Corporate Directors’ Global Governance Summit in September 2024.

Manulife Philippines president and CEO Rahul Hora noted the awards underscore the company’s unwavering commitment to good corporate governance and stakeholder engagement at Manulife Philippines and MCBL.

“We are honored to be recognized by the Institute of Corporate Directors and remain steadfast in our dedication to honest work for our stakeholders and communities,” he said.

The Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD) presents the Golden Arrow Awards to publicly listed corporations that consistently adhere to the Philippine Code of Corporate Governance and internationally recommended corporate governance practices promoted by the ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard (ACGS) and Corporate Governance Scorecard (CGS).

These scorecards evaluate a company’s fair treatment of stakeholders, accountability, transparency, and board effectiveness in strategic management, based on publicly available disclosures.

“As a business built on trust, we are committed to operating with transparency, accountability, and fairness. We are dedicated to providing holistic financial solutions that empower Filipinos to achieve financial security and live better every day,” Hora added.
