WHEN it comes to gadgets, the stronger the battery, the better. Aside from camera specifications, a phone’s battery life is also a strong defining factor for consumers. Managing a day without digital interruptions is a true gift these days, especially when almost all things can be accomplished online.
Having explored the vivo V40 Lite for some time, I can see how its 5000 milliampere-hour (mAh) battery can be relied upon to get me through the day and beyond.
The 5000 mAh battery — larger than that of its counterparts in the same price range — allows for extended use that equates to 16.6 hours of YouTube entertainment or 29.6 hours of call time.
Based on experience, I’m able to charge the V40 Lite from 1 to 100 percent in less than an hour. For someone such as myself, who can be forgetful about charging my phone overnight, the phone also comes in handy with its safety charging features such as Super Charge Pump, Smart Charging Engine 2.0 and 24-Dimension Security Protection.
Such features provide overnight charging protection that helps slow down battery aging while promoting safe and fast charging. This, in turn, guarantees a battery health level of 80 percent for four and a half years if charged once a day.
What makes this phone even more special compared to others? Well, the V40 Lite is the only phone in vivo’s V Series with a generous four-year or 50-month battery warranty benefit.
Meaning, if, within four years of purchasing the phone, the maximum battery capacity falls below 80 percent, the battery can be replaced for free once, using the provided coupon code.
Tech expert Abe Olandres from Yugatech shares his thoughts on the V40 Lite during the virtual launch, saying: “We ran a couple of battery life tests on our own to see how it [works]. We were impressed that the vivo V40 Lite managed to do over 30 hours of video playback in our video test. That’s just on a single full charge.”
Olandres says the V40 Lite can also handle popular graphic-intensive games and can last up to 9 hours of gaming.
He continues: “When you evaluate a smartphone, you look at the entirety of the package; not just one aspect. When you consider all of these components are all tied, you have a better understanding of its focus, trends and overall usability. If you look at it that way, you will know that the V40 Lite is well thought out. A smartphone based on efficiency, endurance and user experience — that, for us, is the vivo V40 Lite.”
In addition to the battery life that vivo takes pride in, the newest V40 Lite is also a champion in camera system with its 50-megapixel (MP) Main Camera and 32 MP ultra clear front camera. The brand’s signature Aura Light still works wonders in this model with its ability to take professional-grade portraits through its soft light ring and smart adjustments.
Miguel Ty, also from Yugatech, says, “Compared to the regular or conventional flash or dual-tone LED flash, the AI Aura Light provides 75 times more soft light and eight times more of the light-emitting area.”
Ty adds that, with or without AI Aura Light, it’s up to the users whether they prefer harsher highlights or softer, brighter tones. Either way, users get the best of both worlds with the V40 Lite.
Ty introduces the vivo V40 Lite’s two variants: the 4G and 5G. When it comes to AI Imaging, the 4G model has AI Aura Light, AI Erase, AI Photo Enhance and AI Documents Scanning. The 5G, on the other hand, has all these aforementioned features plus the AI Wide-Angle Group Selfie.
The tech expert mentions that the AI Photo Enhance feature of V40 Lite can enhance old, degrading photos by increasing their resolution, providing better clarity, sharpness and contrast.
