President Ferdinand ”Bongbong” Marcos Jr. on Tuesday acknowledged First Lady Louise ”Liza” Araneta-Marcos during the Philippine Coast Guard’s founding anniversary.

The First Lady joined the PCG Auxiliary earlier this year, with the honorary rank of Vice Admiral.

”Allow me to recognize our First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos who recently joined the Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary. This is not surprising because of her commitment to preserving our marine environment,” Marcos said.

”May each of us also find it within us to be a member of the Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary. And I see some of the prominent members who have also joined the First Lady in becoming part of the Coast Guard Auxiliary. Well done,” he added.

The PCG Auxiliary assists in promoting safety of life and property at sea as well as in protecting the marine environment. — BM, GMA Integrated News
