Actor and music producer James Reid has released his latest single, “Mirasol,” under Sony Music Entertainment. The pop track is the third single from his upcoming EP jgh, set for release on Nov. 22.
Reid describes “Mirasol” as a song about love and growth, using a sunflower as a metaphor for a relationship that requires care and understanding. The track was co-written by Reid and R&B artist Alison Shore.
“I wanted to connect with my fans on a different level,” Reid said, noting that writing in Filipino was a challenge he welcomed.
The song features production by Tim Marquez of One Click Straight, a frequent collaborator of Reid. “Mirasol” continues Reid’s pop music career, building on his earlier success with a more refined sound.
Reid’s EP jgh includes tracks such as “Sandal” and “Hurt Me Too,” signaling the artist’s more vulnerable and pop-leaning direction.
