Actress Beauty Gonzalez recently shared behind-the-scenes moments of her role as Iris in the Netflix film “Outside,” co-starring Sid Lucero, Marco Masa, and Aiden Tyler Patdu.
Gonzalez posted a photo of herself with makeup depicting a gash on her forehead while preparing for a scene. “This is one of my favorite portraits. It’s a BTS shot of my character Iris, caught between fact and fiction, between make-believe and reality. A selfie of the soul,” Gonzalez wrote.
She likened her disheveled look in the photo to a “renaissance feel,” referencing artists like Leonardo da Vinci and Jan van Eyck, alongside photographers Bettina Rheims and contemporary portraits of Paula Rego.
Directed by Carlo Ledesma, “Outside” follows a family trying to survive a zombie apocalypse while taking refuge in a sugarcane plantation mansion.
