Maritime leaders attend biggest manning meet

Local and international maritime leaders are expected at the Seatrade Maritime Crew Connect Global conference, the world’s biggest manning meeting to be held at the Shangri-La The Fort in Manila from Nov. 12 to 14, 2024.

The speaker lineup features nearly 50 experts, leaders and influencers, representing some of the biggest names in the shipping industry.

Speakers from the Philippines include Migrant Workers Secretary Hans Leo Cacdac, Maritime Industry Authority Administrator Sonia Malaluan, PTC Group President and Filipino Shipowners Association Vice President Gerardo Borromeo, Magsaysay Maritime Corp. President Doris Magsaysay-Ho, and OSM Thome President Mailyn Borillo.

Leaders in the global maritime industry are also set to discuss the latest trends. These include International Maritime Organization Secretary General Arsenio Dominguez, International Chamber of Shipping Secretary General Guy Platten, Intertanko Managing Director Katharina Stanzel, International Maritime Employers Council Chairman Capt. Belal Ahmed, Bimco Manager for Maritime Safety and Security Capt. Ashok Srinivasan, and International Seafarers’ Welfare and Assistance Network Chief Executive Simon Grainge.
