PHILIPPINE Airlines (PAL) said Wednesday it would be operating out of the state-of-the-art New Terminal One of New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport beginning 2026.
“This partnership with the JFK New Terminal One highlights an important innovation for Philippine Airlines,” PAL President and Chief Operating Officer Stanley Ng said.
“This alliance allows us to enhance our service and elevate the travel experience for our passengers traveling between Manila and New York, as well as nearby cities in New Jersey and Connecticut, and throughout the US East Coast and Midwest,” he added.
PAL will be the first airline from Southeast Asia to operate at The New Terminal One, it said.
The terminal will serve as PAL’s primary gateway to the US East Coast. It currently offers thrice-weekly flights between JFK Airport and Manila utilizing Airbus A350-900 aircraft.
Jennifer Aument, New Terminal One chief executive officer, said: “We are delighted to welcome Philippine Airlines to our growing family of airlines at the New Terminal One.”
“Our teams share a strong commitment to customer experience, and we look forward to working together to elevate the curb-to-gate experience for Philippine Airlines customers flying to and from New York,” she added.
Scheduled to open in phases from 2026, New Terminal One will be the largest terminal at JFK Airport with 2.6 million square feet of space over a footprint that will include the existing Terminal 1 and the former Terminals 2 and 3.
Shares of PAL parent PAL Holdings Inc. rose by 2 centavos to P5.35 on Wednesday.
