A BATCH of 88 Filipinos returned home from the United Arab Emirates, the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) said Friday.

Eighty overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and eight dependents arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1 from Abu Dhabi and Dubai in the UAE via Philippine Airlines flight PR659.

This new batch is part of those who availed UAE’s amnesty program, which allows overstaying Filipinos to return home free of any fines or penalties.

On Wednesday, 32 OFWs returned home from Dubai.

The UAE Amnesty Program runs until next week, prompting the Philippine Embassy in the UAE to urge Filipinos to avail of the program by visiting them or the consulate in Dubai.
