The agricultural damage caused by Severe Tropical Storm Kristine has reached P3.11 billion, the Department of Agriculture said Sunday.
DA reported that the majority of the agricultural loss is rice, which amounts to 152,440 metric tons (MT).
Other agricultural commodities affected include corn with 1,461 MT, cassava with 126 MT, and high value crops with 6,014 MT.
The DA also logged 2,862 animal losses while 98 affected fisheries were also affected.
Damaged irrigation facilities amounted to P26 million, DA said.
Once the weather and other conditions permit, the department said it will conduct a field evaluation of the affected areas.
The DA said P541.02 million worth of agricultural inputs are available for distribution to affected farmers.
The agency added that it will also help farmers through the Quick Response Fund, Survival and Recovery (SURE) Loan Program, and Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation.
