MANILA, Philippines — Water interruption is expected in southern Metro Manila and the province of Cavite amid the scheduled shutdown of Maynilad’s treatment plants in Muntinlupa this week.
In an advisory over the weekend, Maynilad said repair and maintenance activities would require the closure of the Putatan and Poblacion Water Treatment Plants from 12:01 a.m. of Nov. 1 until 12:01 p.m. of Nov. 2.
“These activities are necessary to ensure the continued reliability of our water services,” Maynilad said.
The water concessionaire said portions of Parañaque, Pasay, Muntinlupa, Las Piñas as well as Bacoor and Imus in Cavite would be affected.
“Affected customers are advised to store enough water for the duration of the service interruption,” Maynilad said.
According to Maynilad, mobile water tankers will be on standby, ready to deliver potable water as needed.
The company has installed stationary water tanks in strategic locations for ease of supply accessibility.
Maynilad customers can visit its Facebook Page for details about the water interruption.
