Landco Pacific Corporation has launched The Nautilus, a new 10-storey condotel that aims to enhance beachfront living in the Philippines. Located within the 15-hectare CaSoBe (Calatagan South Beach), this architectural landmark is designed to merge luxury with sustainable living while offering residents a range of hotel-like amenities.
Inspired by the fictional submarine from Jules Verne’s Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea, The Nautilus features a design that stands out against the coastal skyline. The structure’s modern appeal is designed to embody the spirit of Captain Nemo’s legendary vessel, known for its innovation and exploration of uncharted territories.
“This is more than a home – it’s a sanctuary,” said Erickson Manzano, President & CEO of Landco Pacific Corporation. He emphasized the property’s potential for a vibrant lifestyle, where residents can enjoy activities such as yoga, jogging, and beach volleyball. The Nautilus promotes community engagement through beach events and gatherings, allowing residents to foster connections while soaking in the natural beauty of their surroundings.
The Nautilus comprises 171 residential units and five commercial spaces within a total land area of 4,614.5 square meters. The residential options include studios, one-bedroom units, lofts, two-bedroom units, and three-bedroom units, all featuring expansive views of the bay and equipped with energy-efficient appliances. Each unit is designed with private outdoor spaces, high ceilings, and a contemporary layout that enhances the living experience.
Accessibility is a priority for The Nautilus, with easy vehicular and pedestrian access and dedicated parking for residents, hotel guests, and commercial visitors.
Sustainable design
Sustainability is a core component of The Nautilus, which incorporates various eco-friendly features. The property uses recycled water for irrigation and toilet flushing, low-flow plumbing fixtures to minimize water usage, and solar panels on the roof and parking areas. Additionally, the building is equipped with double-glazed windows to improve energy efficiency and sound insulation.
Construction materials have been chosen with sustainability in mind, including recycled steel and aluminum, as well as low-carbon footprint cement. Natural ventilation and LED lighting throughout the property further enhance its commitment to green building practices. The Nautilus is currently pursuing EDGE (Excellence in Design for Greater Efficiencies) certification, aiming for a minimum of 20 percent savings in energy, water, and embodied energy in its materials.
Meanwhile, to ensure residents can benefit from their investment, Landco Lifestyle Ventures (LLV) will manage the hospitality operations at The Nautilus. The condotel will function as a four-star hotel, focusing on providing high-quality service and maximizing rental income for owners. LLV’s experience in managing leisure accommodations across various locations in the Philippines positions them well to attract visitors year-round.
The Nautilus is part of a larger community at CaSoBe, which has been recognized for its mixed-use development and diverse amenities. The property offers an array of leisure and hospitality options, including the unique Crusoe Cabins, which repurpose shipping containers into modern accommodations. Other facilities include the Aquaria Water Park, various dining options, and a 300-capacity event space.
For those seeking adventure, The Nautilus features recreational spaces such as a spa, fitness center, and an infinity pool with scenic views. The property is equipped with modern conveniences, including two RFID-enabled elevators, concierge services, and 100% emergency power backup.
As The Nautilus prepares for its targeted turnover in January 2029, it stands as a significant addition to the growing trend of luxury beachfront properties in the Philippines. With its combination of upscale living, sustainable design, and a focus on community, The Nautilus is set to offer residents a unique coastal lifestyle unlike any other.
