Through Proclamation No. 728, Marcos declared November 4, 2024 as a Day of National Mourning for the victims of the onslaught of Kristine. The entire country was requested to offer prayers for the repose of the souls of the victims.
The Philippine flag shall be flown at half-mast from sunrise to sunset on all government buildings and installations throughout the country and abroad.
Marcos will also lead the distribution of various aid, including shelter materials, to families affected by Kristine.
For the part of the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development, it will provide home materials and essentials to at least 559 families whose houses were destroyed by Kristine’s onslaught. — Anna Felicia Bajo/RSJ, GMA Integrated News
