Several polling precincts in the United States have received bomb threats as voters cast ballots in the 2025 US presidential election.
The bomb threats were reported in the midwest states where windows of some of the polling centers were made bulletproof, according to a Balitanghali report of GMA Integrated News stringer Dave Llavanes, Jr.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is currently on top of the situation and is investigating such threats.
LLavanes reported that the voting was not affected by the bomb threats.
Based on a Reuters report, there were sporadic disruptions reported in some states, including several “non-credible” bomb threats that the FBI said appeared to originate from Russian email domains.
Philippine Ambassador to the US Jose Manuel Romualdez said on Sunday that the alliance between the Philippines and the United States will remain strong regardless of who wins between Republican presidential nominee and former US President Donald Trump and Democratic presidential nominee and US Vice President Kamala Harris.
Meanwhile, US Ambassador MaryKay Carlson said she is “extremely confident” that Manila and Washington’s alliance will be “steadfast and iron-clad” whoever wins the tight presidential race. —Giselle Ombay/AOL, GMA Integrated News
