KAWASAKI Kisen Kaisha Ltd. (“K” LINE) and Inmarsat Maritime, a Viasat company, recently announced a partnership to trial Inmarsat’s innovative bonded network service, NexusWave.
NexusWave is designed to deliver high-speed, always-on connectivity for ships, enabling seamless ship-to-shore communications.
This will enhance various aspects of ship operations, including digitalization, environmental response, and crew welfare. Key features of NexusWave include high-speed connectivity, global coverage and enhanced security.

“K” LINE’s adoption of NexusWave aligns with its commitment to digitalization and improving crew welfare. The service will enable efficient data transmission, remote operations, and improved communication with families and friends.
