Actors KD Estrada and Alexa Ilacad have brought their on-screen romance to Hong Kong with the release of KD’s latest music video, “Be With U,” which showcases a sweet, chance encounter that blossoms into love against the city’s vibrant backdrops.

The video begins with KD and Alexa meeting by chance at the Peak Galleria Observation Deck, where they take in panoramic views of Hong Kong. The song itself captures the feeling of wanting to spend each moment with someone special, adding a dose of “kilig” for the fans of the real-life couple, known as “KDLex.”

Fans even contributed suggestions on scenic spots in Hong Kong, helping shape the pair’s romantic journey through the city.

After their initial meeting, the couple’s adventure takes them to Cheung Chau Island, a quieter destination offering an escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. Known for its peaceful, car-free environment, Cheung Chau invites visitors to explore by bike, adding a playful twist to the couple’s adventure.

Alexa shared that biking around the island was memorable, saying, “I don’t get to ride bikes often, so I was a bit shaky, but KD was there to help.” She added, “Cheung Chau was the perfect place to take it slow and just enjoy the view without any cars around.”

The pair stopped by Kwok Kam Kee, Cheung Chau’s oldest “lucky bun” bakery, where they shared a taste of the buns made famous by the annual Bun Festival. The sweet buns, stamped with Chinese characters for “safety,” are a well-loved local treat.

“The sweetness is a nice surprise, and the texture is unique,” Alexa noted, while KD added with a smile, “It’s really filling, nakakabusog siya, no?”

Fans of the KDLex pairing will recognize the scene-stealing streets and local eateries of Cheung Chau, including the Cheung Chau Corner, where the couple enjoyed yogurt drinks, and Welcome Food Court, which serves popular street foods like giant curry fishballs.

Space Cafe, on the island’s quieter side, provided a peaceful retreat for a relaxed meal, while Wan Sing Dessert allowed the couple to enjoy mango mochi, a chewy tropical treat familiar to Filipino palates.

“The mochi is so refreshing, super sarap!” KD shared.

The video also captures a romantic tradition on the island at the Love Lock Wall, where couples hang locks or heart-shaped plaques as symbols of their visit. KD and Alexa left their own painted plaque for fans who might visit Cheung Chau, adding a personal touch for their followers.

“It’s a beautiful way to leave a memory here,” KD said, noting the significance of the Love Lock Wall in creating lasting memories.

Back in Central Hong Kong, the pair explored the city’s nightlife, visiting the Temple Street Night Market, where food stalls and local fare paint a lively picture of Hong Kong culture. The video takes viewers to the West Kowloon Waterfront Promenade, where the couple enjoys cityscape views, capturing the energy and romance of the night.
