MANILA, Philippines — High-grade marijuana or kush worth about P708,000 has been seized in Clark, Pampanga.
Agents of the Bureau of Customs (BOC) based at the port of Clark said the contraband was concealed in a parcel declared to contain pairs of jeans.
The parcel arrived on Oct. 25 and was flagged after it passed through the BOC’s x-ray machine.
A K-9 unit checked the package and indicated the presence of illegal substance.
A physical inspection of the parcel resulted in the seizure of yellow-orange, jelly-like substances and 472 grams of fruiting tops.
Samples of the items were brought to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency for laboratory analysis, which confirmed the substance to be kush.
