TikTok Shop, a growing e-commerce platform, is empowering local businesses by providing a platform for entrepreneurs and artisans to showcase their products.
The platform is helping brands like Alta Philippines, a Marikina-based shoe brand, to grow their sales, enhance brand recognition, and showcase their craftsmanship.
TikTok Shop’s ACE indicator system, which focuses on assortment, content, and empowerment, drives this success. By leveraging this system, brands can optimize product availability, engage with customers through creative content, and utilize tools to connect with consumers more meaningfully.
The platform’s “Buy Local, Shop Local” campaign further supports local businesses, helping them reach a wider audience and showcase their heritage. Filipino coffee brands like B Coffee PH, Mega PH Jimm’s Coffee, Nestlé PH, San Miguel Foods, as well as Universal Robina Corporation and Mega PRime Foods are also capitalizing on TikTok Shop’s potential.
Through short videos, live selling, and affiliate marketing, these brands are sharing their stories, building communities, and boosting sales.
“TikTok Shop has been instrumental in helping us expand our product range and reach more Filipino households. With the help of the platform, we’ve been able to align our goals with a focused strategy that combines product variety, engaging content, and continuous improvement,” said Mega Prime chief growth and development officer Marvin Tiu Lim.
TikTok Shop’s support has enabled Mega Prime Foods to expand its product line by 20 percent, with new offerings like premium canned vegetables and ready-to-cook meals catering to the evolving needs of Filipino consumers.
