Court suspensions on Monday, November 18, 2024 due to Pepito

Some courts suspended operations on Monday, November 18 due to inclement weather brought by Typhoon Pepito, according to the Supreme Court (SC).

In a series of posts on X, the SC said the following courts suspended operations: 

  • San Fernando City Regional Trial Courts (RTC), Municipal Trial Court in Cities (MTCC), and Office Of The Clerk Of Courts (OCC); Bacnotan Municipal Trial Court (MTC); San Juan-San Gabriel, La Union Municipal Circuit Trial Courts (MCTCs)
  • All courts within the jurisdiction of Dagupan City RTC, Urdaneta City RTC, Tayug RTC, Alaminos City RTC, and Lingayen RTC in Pangasinan
  • Rosales RTC Branch 53, and MTCs Balungao, Rosales, and Sta. Maria in Pangasinan
  • All courts within the jurisdiction of the Bauang RTC and Agoo RTC in La Union
  • All courts within the jurisdiction of Candon City, Tagudin RTC, Narvacan RTC, and Vigan RTC in Ilocos Sur
  • All courts within the jurisdiction of  San Jose City RTC and RTC Sto. Domingo RTC in Nueva Ecija 
  • All courts within the jurisdiction of the Lagawe, Ifugao RTC
  • All courts in the province of Nueva Vizcaya
  • All courts within the jurisdiction of RTC Paniqui, Tarlac 
  • All courts in the province of Benguet 
  • Baler, Aurora RTC

Classes were also suspended in some areas due to the typhoon.

According to PAGASA, Signal No. 3 was raised over several areas as of 5 a.m. on Monday as Pepito moved over the West Philippine Sea.

Pepito is expected to continue moving northwestward on Monday over the West Philippine Sea, then exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Monday morning or noon. —Joahna Lei Casilao/KBK, GMA Integrated News
