MANILA, Philippines — Former Interior and Local Government secretary Benhur Abalos Jr. filed on Friday a counter affidavit rejecting the allegations brought against him by former president Rodrigo Duterte regarding the police operation against Pastor Apollo Quiboloy, leader of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC).
Abalos called the charges “baseless and politically motivated” and denied any participation in the alleged unlawful actions during the raid.
