Adamson University remained in contention for a Final Four spot as they took down Ateneo de Manila University, 69-55, on Saturday in the final elimination round game of the UAAP Season 87 men’s basketball tournament.
The win improved the Soaring Falcons’ standing to 6-8 which put them at a tie with University of the East.
With the identical records, Adamson and UE will face in a playoff game on Wednesday for the last Final Four ticket.
De La Salle University, University of the Philippines, and the University of Santo Tomas are already assured of their spots and placements in the UAAP semifinals.
Royce Mantua had 14 points, while Emman Anabo had 13 points for the Soaring Falcons.
Jared Bahay had 14 points for the Blue Eagles who finished last with a 4-10 record.
Chris Koon played his final game for the Katipunan-based squad and had 10 points, while graduating senior Sean Quitevis had two points.
