President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. departed for the United Arab Emirates on Monday evening for a working visit.
According to Malacanang, the chief executive departed at exactly 9:11 p.m.
Onboard with him are former Interior Secretary Benhur Abalos as “he has close ties with UAE royal family.”
Also joining him in the trip are Environment Secretary Toni Loyzaga, National Commission for Culture and Arts chairperson Vic Manalo, and Foreign Affairs Undersecretary Charles Jose.
Marcos will meet with his counterpart, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday, November 26.
Presidential Communications Office Acting Secretary Cesar Chavez earlier said that Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin, Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla, and Agrarian Reform Secretary Conrado Estrella III will be part of the caretake committee while Marcos is abroad. —Vince Ferreras/LDF, GMA Integrated News
